Stories of Transformation

Were you creative as a child but weren’t allowed to go to art school because: “You can’t make any money at that”. Times have changed, my friend. Listen to these women talk about the empowerment they discovered when they leaned into their creativity.

Hear Straight from the Alumni

Kathleen Lambert, a mom of three, is our creative community tech “maverick”.

Carmellia Chavers has her own radio show in the Los Angeles area.

Wendy Duke, an Oshi-e instructor, has her own online course now.

Jane Foster now sells fabric with her own designs on them to her sewing students.

Shalini is a published author expanding in new ways through surface pattern design.

Leslie Clark has a licensed stuffed animal from one of her children’s stories.

If you don't think you have the talent to become a surface designer, listen up...

Everything worth doing takes effort and starts with taking one step at a time. If you're thinking "I'm too old to learn something new" or "where do I even start?", just know that these thoughts came up for every successful artist you see on this page.

Whether you've never open Adobe Illustrator before, have no idea how to build a successful creative business, or you're apprehensive about the tech - we ALL start at the beginning. What matters most is your willingness to try and keep moving forward.

Each of these successful artists started with one thing:
THE COURAGE TO START.

Ready to do the same?

The Courage
to Start

Anne’s designs are featured on fabric through Paintbrush fabrics, on swimsuits with Le Larc, and in retail stores in her local area. She’s been featured on Amy Porterfield’s podcast, Online Marketing Made Easy, in Jeff Walker’s best selling book, Launch, and on a variety of podcasts that focus on how women can reinvent themselves and find joy and fulfillment at any age. Anne runs the Dipsea and enjoys the beauty that surrounds her in Northern California.
